Court Case Oil

I just received a GOOD REPORT…isn’t it wonderful to hear good things for so often it is the bad reports that travel the fastess…Court Oil really works.
Court Oil is designed to cause the Judge, Lawyers, other Court officials and even Insurance Company to look with favor upon your case. Now, I am not saying that you can do anything bad and have it expunged, but especially when you have right on your side, placing a small dab of Court Oil on the paperwork you file, having a little on your hand when you shake hands with your lawyer, the Prosecutor, or any one involved makes a BIG DIFFERENCE!
A friend of the Funky Karma Shop has just received the call she was waiting for, the insurance company will pay the claim after denying it for months. Court Oil was used and once again, it made the difference! It gives the extra Humph that we need in this mundane world we live in, Thanks to Herbs, Oils, Moon and Deity.

Beautiful Fractal Art by Alice Ward

We were so happy that so many of you came by to see the Fractal Art Show last weekend. The artists did a great job of showcasing their work, explaining how the make the great art pieces. They call it ‘Fractalizing Las Cruces”! There are still many beautiful fractals here, including card, framed art and unframed pieces. Maria did a lot of baking before the show , she is the best!!! and has promised tp share one of her secret recipes with us…we are awaiting that, for sure!! All of the Ladies brought delicious food for us to eat, if you were here then you know that, if you weren’t, there is always next year!! ” For love of Art Month”

For those who do not know what a fractal is, here is the answer…direct from Teri…”Fractal Art utilizes computer programs, which take mathematical formulas and produce an image based on the equations, applying color depending on the behavior of the formulas. After thousands of iterations, a number either goes off in the direction of infinity or back to zero. The numbers which are destined to return to zero are represented by the color black, while those that soar off to infinity are assigned various colors whose values are determined by the rate at which they accelerate towards infinity. The choice of colors is unlimited and each fractal is literally infinite in its variation and its detail. The Fractal Artist explores the fractal, locating interesting sections, and uses framing and color to bring it out for others to see. The way the artist interprets the fractal, frames the scenes, determines the colors to be used and chooses the algorithms to be employed makes up the creative element and results in a unique work of art.”

OK. now we know…and Funky Karma is all about the uniqueness of art, scent, spiritual practice, taste and palate. And with that profound thought…we’ll see ya soon.

Fractal Show this weekend

The Mesilla Valley Fractal Artists (who are the greatest bunch of lady artists ever!!) will be in the shop this weekend, Sat and Sun. 10am-4pm with their art and laptops to show everyone how they create their awesome art. Come on by…see them, see the art and enjoy some munchies.

Also for your Valentine…Love oil, Love Tea…Love incense…Love amulets…and more.

Pluma is in the shop today, he is over his ear infection and happy to be back at work. Several of his special customers have been in today to play fetch with him and someone brought him a new feather…he thinks he has a whole bird…of course he doesn’t know what a real bird is, thats OK with me.

Open today!!

We are open today, and have heard that El Paso Electric is once again producing their own power. That likely means no more rolling blackouts. Having power is a ” good thing” !

Having oils is a good thing also. We have just received a new order of Indio Oils…your favorites are back in stock and there are some new ones. Come by and see them…we will be here atleast until 5pm and here tomorrow 11-3. See ya then. Oh, one more thing…Anastasia will be here reading Tarot from 1-5.

It’s cold in the desert!

Haven’t posted in a while because we had the dreaded ‘computer problems’. All fixed now and no excuses about posting, well, except for the winter storm that gave us 4-5 inches of snow, not so bad, and temperatures way below what we always have…got down to 0 degrees at night, a wonderful high of 19 degrees yesterday. Broke all kinds of weather records. el Paso electric, not able to generate their own power, has had to buy power from other states and Mexico (who now say they can’t sell anymore power because they need it for their own use) so rolling blackouts are rolling along. We have had outages at the store and were closed for the last 2 days but are open today…at least for now and for as long as we have power. It would be a good idea to call before coming to the store. 993-9797.

Pluma is not a happy cat at the moment, you know he was an abandoned kitten in the winter and has real issues with cold weather, he has been at home either in a lap or on the electric blanked, had another ear problem. He sure hates ear drops even thou they help him. He will be at the store as soon as it warms up a bit. When i left home this morning it was 9 degrees and I just can’t take him out in that cold. Will update again as we hope to warm up.
