More of Little White Ones Story…

Slowly I am getting better, I have learned to jump off the bed, and hippy hop on 3 legs to get to the kitchen to eat my foods, If I cry loud Mom will give me creamy treats, but only once a day, then I have to eat my crunchies.  My bad leg sticks straight out with the cast on and the steel rod inside my leg so I can’t use it, but Mom says I am the fastest 3 legged cat she has, and  I learned to  climb up on the big bed using my front legs to pull me up, so I am an independent kitten now.  When the Mom and the Dad persons come home from work, the Dad will play fishing with me, he thinks he catches me but really I catch the ribbon and lay on my back to fight it when it wiggles.  He says I am a good ‘on my back ‘ fighter, I win most of the time. I can only play for a short time before I get too tired and have to go to Mom and sit in her lap to rest, my eyes won’t stay open but I try to fight it and stay awake because playing is so fun.

A couple days ago The Dad man took my cone off because I promised not to chew on the cast (I tried, but  chewed the heck out of that cast, but I couldn’t help myself.!!) But it felt really good to take my own bath…I like my white furs to be really clean: Before I go to sleep I wash my ears, eyes, whiskers and everything else until my fur gleams. Then I can fall asleep purring and leaning against my own little pillow.

Once again I have to get into the suitcase and go to the Vet Place,  I don’t want to get into it, I don’t like going there, they hurt me: Mom says it is for my own good but I don’t know how that is possible.  Here is a pic of the rod in my leg, it was cut off when they finished the surgery but now it is causing some problems, it has been in my leg for 6 weeks and anyway the bones are stronger.

Today I am having another surgery: first they will remove the cast, make a small incision in my leg to remove the steel rod that was put in to strengthen my bones that were broken  and then fix a few other things inside me.  The cast that I have on is another…growing thing…my leg grows and the cast gets too tight .

Little White One continues her story…

Today the Mom Lady Person says, “White One, you don’t have to go to work today, you had a pretty bad night”

It was true, all night I was dreaming and crying ‘mew, mew, mew’ and shaking my hurt leg.  She thinks that remembering what happened to me is very upsetting, giving me nightmares. I am a lucky kitten because I have a pillow and a blanket on the big bed, right beside the Mommy and she will reach out and cuddle me up when I an crying.  So I am staying at home today, playing with my toys and eating my dinners.  But I still remember how alone and lost I felt after my furry mom lost me, I got hurt bad, and then The Lady  left me at a place.  That was the first time I was at a ‘place’ called the vet place. Before I was just outside, on the dirt, trying to find some foods, a drink of water and looking for my furry mom so I didn’t know what a place was and was scared to be at one.

White Ones Story Continues.

A cazillion days later the Lady came back to get me, made the Dad Man give the vet place all his green papers to ransom me out of there and I went in the car to the Lady’s house.  She made me a bed on her big bed, with a pillow and a heated blanket.  It was comfortable.  I had a cone on my neck and a cast on my leg: she gave me medicine in a dropper every 2 minutes and I slept all the time.  Sometimes she carried me to the potty box and the foods dish and she gave me a bath because the cone didn’t let me do my own bath. My broken leg was stuck out in a straight line. so I couldn’t walk, and the medicine made me dizzy, so I just went to sleep for another cazillion days.

Then one day I had to get into this suitcase thing and go back to the vet place where they  took more pictures of my leg, ripped the cast off  then put another one on me, saying something about growing… and more medicine…and all my 150 stitches were looking good, and the paper they stuck to my tummy could come off: I was afraid I had to stay at the place again, but the Lady waited til they were done torturing  me and took me back in the suitcase to her house.  My leg hurted me and I throwed up all night after that awful experience.

The Mom Lady took me back to the vet place the next day to see why I was throwing up and they gave me more meds to stop that.  So now I had dropper fulls of meds every 5 seconds, but the pain stopped, I wasn’t sick anymore and I just let the Mom put the stuff in my mouth

A week later I got another cast…more growing I guess, when they weighed me I was 51/2 pounds and had a little fat tummy.  My stitches came out, that hurted me alot and I was crying. “Let me out of here, I want my mommy, I want to go home.” So the Dad Man gave the vet place more green papers so I went home, back to my own little pillow and blanket and my Mommy.

Little White One speaks for the 1st time

Today when I waked up the Mom Lady person said, “White One are you back in your right mind?”

“Meow”

“Good,” she said, “get your coat on, you are going to work.” I don’t know what ‘work’ is but at least its not the awful vet place. So I let her put my coat on, it says Mommy’s Little Valentine.  I don’t mind wearing it, it is better than the cone and the cast that  I had to wear after I came home from the vet place.

We are beginning a new series of continuing education classes this April.  Cost for each class is $20.00, however if you sign up and pay ahead of time you can get a 50% discount, pay only $10.00

April 21 2pm Dirts, Herbs and Candles, learn to use to make your life better. Taught by Obe Santos.

April 28 2pm.  Shaker Jar Spells taught be Miss Ann. Can’t burn incense or candles, learn to use Shaker jars to propel your spells.

Plumas’ message, and changes at work.

Hi ebfurryone, it’s me Pluma. I haven’t been here very much lately because I have a new job at my house. It is called retired and it sure takes a lot of energy to do. I have to snooper vise the whole house, (and it is a big house) run from window to window watching what is going on outside, Meow for my dinners and my friends outside dinners. Make sure Daddy sleeps and then make sure Mommy sleeps and the work never ends!
So I have appointed a new worker at the shop, her name is Magic and you may have met her because she has been hanging around trying to get my job for a year or 2.
Alright I said you can work the shop job cause I am busy with the home job. But you have to do what I say, cause I am Pluma. The boss.
Magics first special sale is today, May 11 and tomorrow May 12. Called “Magics Ring Bling”. All rings for these 2 days are 1/2 price!, yes for reals!  1/2 price. Just in time for Mothers Day and Graduation.
So we will see if Magic can do a good job and have a nice sale. Come see her and support her first work.  She is going to sit for her first portrait later today.  Right now she is running around like a crazy cat checking to be sure everything is ready for her first big sale.

April’s events…

Sat. April 1…Karma Konnection, Las Cruces’ newest singles group, will meet Saturday, April 1^st at 1 p.m. at Funky Karma Annex, 3209 S. Main.  The discussion topic this month is “Meeting New People” and a picnic will be planned. Cost is $2.00

On Saturday, April 8^th, there will be a comedy presentation on animals at 11 a.m. followed by a discussion of animal spirits at 1 p.m. In history, many pagan gods and goddesses had “special” animals associated with them and, even today, animals play integral part in our daily lives on many levels. Whether we are talking about sacred animals or familiars or Edgar Allen Poe’s raven saying “Nevermore,” animal spirits can communicate on different levels. Cost is $2.00

Metaphysical Minds will meet at the Funky Karma Annex at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 15^th to discuss past lives, past life therapy and past life regressions. Cost is $2.00
